Ross Lovegrove

Lecture with Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove is a visionary of contemporary design – a creator whose works blend technology, art, and nature. Known as “Captain Organic”, he designs objects with futuristic, organic forms that seem to come from another dimension. His philosophy of “DNA: Design, Nature, Art” ensures that every project becomes not only functional but also almost sculptural – from furniture and lamps to projects for Apple, Airbus, and Vitra. Lovegrove is the author of such icons as the “Solar Tree” or the “Go Chair”, and his works are part of the collections of MoMA, the Guggenheim, and the Centre Pompidou. In recent years, he has also been exploring artificial intelligence, creating projects on the border between technology and art. He is an artist who constantly pushes the boundaries of design and demonstrates that the future can be beautifully organic. You will meet him at his lecture during Warsaw Home!

POLAND DESIGN FESTIVAL

The Great Comeback of Poland Design Festival!

After a few years’ break, the Poland Design Festival is returning in great style! Once again, this much-loved festival will shine as part of Warsaw Home & Contract, taking over all exhibition halls to create a coherent, spectacular, and energetic space where art meets innovation and business. Here, Polish creators, designers, artists, and creative studios will showcase what the future of design looks like — and visitors will discover more than 20 carefully curated thematic zones full of new trends, unexpected ideas, and aesthetic delights.

A Stage Full of Energy

At the heart of the festival will be the Poland Design Festival Stage – a place filled with talks, inspiration, and groundbreaking ideas. It will feature the most exciting voices of Polish design – designers, architects, curators, and creative studios who are shaping the future of the industry and giving it a unique character.

Created Together with the Best

The Poland Design Festival is created in collaboration with outstanding partners, who ensure the highest artistic and professional level:

  •  Only Abstract – the main curatorial partner, introducing abstract art into exhibition spaces and shaping the unique identity of the festival,
  •  SPFP – Association of Industrial Designers – promoting Polish industrial design internationally since 1963,
  •  OSHS – Polish Association of Home Stagers – contributing expert knowledge in space arrangement and presentation,
  •  Łygan Design – a creative studio co-shaping the festival’s unique experiences,
  •  Architect of Innovation – Agata Łydek-Grzywa – architect and curator bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to design.

The group of partners is constantly growing – and soon we will publish an updated program and zone locations to help visitors plan their creative journeys through the festival.

Emotions, Inspiration, Surprises

We have prepared not only hundreds of exceptional stands but also:

  •  competitions with extraordinary prizes – including works of abstract art,
  •  a creative guide through the festival zones, leading visitors to the most exciting creators and projects,
  •  consistent visual identification on the fair map to make it easy to plan a personal path of exploration.

And this is only the beginning – the stage is just warming up!

The Return of a Legend

For years (until 2021), the Poland Design Festival was a permanent highlight of the Warsaw Home program, bringing together young designers, interior architects, and design studios from all over Poland and Europe. Today, it returns in a new, even more spectacular form — ready once again to inspire, amaze, and connect the world of art with business.

The future of design in Poland – a conversation between creators, brands and organizers

Panel discussion on the main stage of the Poland Design Festival. We invite you to an open conversation about the future of Polish design, the role of festivals in building a community of creators and brands, and how we can collectively develop a space for creativity and innovation in the industry. During the meeting, we will discuss the development directions of the Poland Design Festival, the experiences of past editions, and how the presence of designers and exhibitors at the fair influences the recognition of Polish design in Poland and abroad. The panel will also be an opportunity for a direct exchange of opinions – we want this meeting to serve as the first joint feedback channel between the event's organizers, partners, and participants.

Art. Design. Experience

.We are pleased to announce Only Abstract's presence at this year's Warsaw Home & Contract 2025. This project combines the worlds of contemporary art, interior design, and performance—creating unique spaces for dialogue between design, architecture, and visual emotion. During the fair, Only Abstract will create its own unique zone at the booth, presenting unique sculptural and spatial exhibitions and artistic decorative objects. But this is only the beginning.

The project is aimed at: architects, interior designers, decorators, designers, developers, and home stagers, furniture showrooms and interior design companies, furniture and accessories manufacturers, and visual service providers—photographers, graphic designers, renderers, and VR creators.

Only Abstract brings a new energy to the fair—artistic, surprising, performative, and deeply rooted in interior design aesthetics. It is an invitation to discover, collaborate, and create a spatial experience.

Polish Design Connects

STUDIA TARGOWE

Polish Design Connects

The SPFP Design Association invites you to take part in initiatives prepared especially for the Warsaw Home & Contract 2025 trade fair. The goal of these activities is to create a space that connects the potential of Polish designers with the needs of industry and entrepreneurs, promoting collaboration and the development of domestic industrial design. As part of its program, SPFP is implementing three complementary initiatives:

Exhibition “CO-CREATION”

The exhibition presents the design process — from the first concepts to implemented products. It highlights the profiles of designers, their inspirations and working methods, as well as examples of designer–entrepreneur collaborations. The exhibition will showcase completed projects from industries represented at the fair, including interior design, garden design, lighting, and textiles.

Conference “Polish Design Connects”

SPFP invites you to join a series of meetings devoted to the state and practical application of Polish design, as well as the benefits it brings:

October 22 (Wednesday), 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM A series of short 30-minute panels promoting SPFP events across all fair halls, including conversations with designers and representatives of brands featured in the Co-Creation exhibition — such as Mateusz Wróblewski (Filzbee), Joanna Leciejewska, Grynasz Studio × Bizzarto, Wiktor Szufler, and Puff-Buff.

October 23 (Thursday), 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM A panel on business growth strategies through design with guests including Mikołaj Wierszyłłowski, Ewa Sendecka, Jakub August, Magda Kochanowska, copyright law experts, and Aleksandra Szymańska (IPK).

October 25 (Saturday), 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM An open discussion panel titled “What Is Design?” with designers and practitioners Kabo-Pydo, Magda Katana, Iza Brola, Robert Pludra, and Tomek Rudkiewicz. Zone of Opportunities and InspirationA dedicated consultation area for entrepreneurs, offering expert support in the fields of industrial design, implementation financing (IPK), protection of intellectual property (Polish Patent Office, Hasik Rheims & Partners law firm), and inclusive design (Integracja Foundation).

Slogan: “Polish Design Connects”

The slogan emphasizes the idea of cooperation and shared growth. SPFP is building a platform for the exchange of experiences among designers, entrepreneurs, and institutions — fostering the joint development of Poland’s industrial design potential and promoting its significance in both the economy and culture.

Home Building Academy for Investors planning construction and renovation

We have been running our project since 2018, building on the foundations of our personal experience and our participation in the Polish Association of Home Builders. Everything we have built over the years has served us well and will continue to serve investors. All the information we provide is based on two key words: knowledge and objectivity.  All of our valuable and significant achievements, consistently built over the years, are dedicated to raising investor awareness. This will be a breakthrough for us, as we have decided to transfer everything we have from the Home Building Academy project to a newly established organization – an educational association.

Minimal Line – Interior Design Studio by Klaudia Mączka-Rzewuska

Minimal Line is a space where functionality meets aesthetics and interior architecture intertwines with art. We create interiors that breathe simplicity, balance and refined form. Our goal is to design harmonious spaces tailored to individual needs, with respect for detail, colour and light. Every project is a story told in the minimalist language of form.

Klaudia Mączka-Rzewuska

I am an architect with a passion for art and measured beauty. In my projects I combine architectural precision with artistic sensitivity. Besides interior design, I also create original minimalist drawings and paintings—clean lines, subtle compositions that complement interiors and become their delicate accent. I believe that less is more, and a well-designed space can be a calm backdrop for everyday life.

Talks:

October 23, 2025, 13:00 PM

 1. Minimalist accessories that truly make a difference

How to build the character of an interior through details that are not only beautiful but also meaningful? I will show how minimalist drawings, textiles or lighting can completely transform a room’s atmosphere.

* How to create ambiance with details instead of an excess of objects

* Examples of interior makeovers

*  Minimalism doesn’t mean emptiness – accessories with soul in a thoughtful interior

October 24, 2025, 12:00 PM

2.  Designing a studio apartment – how to arrange a small space functionally and aesthetically

A studio is one of the most challenging interiors to design: it has to hold everything without feeling overwhelming. I’ll present concrete solutions and an example of a studio project in Bielany.

*  How to optimally plan 24 m²

* Furniture layout, zoning, multifunctional solutions

* Small space, big impact – from concept to details

October 25, 2025, 12:30 PM

3. Bathrooms that are functional and beautiful – from glamour to a minimalist spa

Even a small bathroom can be comfortable, aesthetic and practical. I’ll show how to achieve this without compromises. For each topic I will prepare dedicated visualizations to illustrate specific solutions in practice.

* Designing a bathroom with a freestanding tub and shower in a limited space

* Clever ideas: hidden storage, zoning

* Glamour without overdoing it – how to combine gold, marble and simplicity with finesse

Lecture with Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove is a visionary of contemporary design—a designer whose work fuses technology, art, and nature. Known as "Captain Organic," he creates objects with futuristic, organic shapes that seem to come from another dimension. His "DNA: Design, Nature, Art" philosophy makes each project not only utilitarian but also almost sculptural—from furniture and lamps to designs for Apple, Airbus, and Vitra. Lovegrove is the creator of such iconic pieces as "Solar Tree" and "Go Chair," and his works are included in the collections of MoMA, the Guggenheim, and the Centre Pompidou. In recent years, he has also explored artificial intelligence, creating projects that straddle the intersection of technology and art. He is an artist who continually pushes the boundaries of design and demonstrates that the future can be beautifully organic. Meet him at a lecture during Warsaw Home!

Patrycja Dańków bridges the worlds of art and therapy in her daily work as an art therapist at a mental health clinic (profile here). In her academic pursuits, she passionately explores how creativity influences both psychological and physical well-being, discovering that paintings can become subtle bridges to the subconscious. The painting studio she runs was born out of a deep need for expression – an inner dialogue between emotions, intuition, and color. It is a space where art is not merely decoration, but a way to enliven the environment, the soul, and everyday life. Her works are not only a record of a moment but also an invitation to immerse oneself in beauty that soothes, inspires, and lends the world new shades. Patrycja’s art embodies a harmonious blend of aesthetics, sensitivity, and love for beauty – creations that not only please the eye but also heal, calm, and open the doors to a deeper encounter with oneself. Her paintings are multidimensional: by day they embrace with light and color, and by night they bloom with a new radiance. One painting then becomes many, revealing its secrets like living worlds that pulse with the rhythm of light and darkness.
